Barclays appoints chairman of private bank in Middle East

Barclays Bank has appointed Steve Clemie as Head of Private Banking and Foreign Banking in the Middle East to expand its presence in the Middle East.
Barclays Private Banking and External Banking Karen Frank said the bank aims to ensure accelerated growth and boost the Bank's private and offshore banking revenues.
Steve's appointment is a major step towards our plans to further strengthen our capabilities in the Middle East.
"Our business record and technical expertise will enable us to offer a full range of banking, investment and credit facilities tailored to the needs of our clients in the Middle East," said Francesco Grozoli, Head of Private Banking for Europe, Middle East and Africa. Steve will work on developing business and private banking, supporting customer relationships in the region and providing innovative banking solutions by leveraging Barclays' regional and global potential.
